Volunteer Opportunities
🧽 Cleaning Crew (8:00 AM – 10:00 AM, Mon–Fri)
Help keep our shop sparkling! Tasks include cleaning three bathrooms, vacuuming, dusting, and washing the front windows.
📦 Donation Processing (Flexible shifts)
Sort, tag, price, and prep donated items for resale. This active role requires the ability to move around and lift up to 20 lbs. Located in Unit 222, just two doors down from the shop. Shifts:
9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Flexible scheduling also available
🛍️ Front Desk / Point of Sale
Be the friendly face that greets shoppers, answers questions, processes payments, and keeps our shop tidy. POS experience is helpful but not required. Shifts:
9:45 AM – 1:30 PM
1:30 PM – 5:30 PM
🛠️ Fun with Tools & Ladders
Handy with a wrench or ladder? This team installs shelves, moves furniture, changes light bulbs, fixes things, and keeps our spaces in working order.
🧺 Ironing (In-shop or at home)
Make donated clothes look their best! You can take items home to iron or join others in the donation center. This is a key part of keeping our items looking fresh and ready to sell.
🛒 Merchandising (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM or 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM)
Love arranging and decorating? Help keep our displays creative and inviting. This team organizes seasonal décor, window displays, restocks the shop floor, and keeps everything looking great.
📱 Social Media
Are you a digital storyteller? Help us spread the word about Second Chance through Facebook posts, reels, live videos, and our newsletter. Bring your ideas and creativity!
🚚 Storage Bin Runner
Strong arms and a truck are a plus! Help transport and organize storage bins for donation processing. Scheduling is flexible and varies by week.
🔌 Tester
Test toys, lamps, lighted décor, and small appliances to ensure everything works before it hits the sales floor. Bonus: you’ll have your own table in the donation center!
🤝 Volunteer Program Support
Help us care for our volunteers! Duties include scheduling, volunteer communication, recruiting, and making sure our amazing team feels appreciated.
