Investing in a Bigger Future for Summerville
Since 1988, Second Chance Thrift Shop has awarded over $1.2 million to local nonprofits. As our community grows, our mission must grow with it. To better serve our neighbors, we are currently preparing to move into a new, larger facility.
A Strategic Pause for 2026
To ensure we have the resources to secure and outfit this expanded space, we are pausing the Community Support Award cycle for 2026. This “Growth Fund” investment will allow us to generate even greater funding for our partners when the awards resume in 2027.
Our Voucher Program Remains 100% Active
While cash grants are on a temporary pause, our commitment to crisis support has not changed. Local nonprofits should continue utilizing our Voucher Program to provide clothing and essentials to clients in need.
